How to Set Up Your Mailchimp Account and Give AVBM Access
In order for AVB Marketing to create and send campaigns on your behalf, you must sign up for the Standard Plan and grant AVBM Admin access. This page will show you how to do that.
PART 1:
Set Up Your Mailchimp
Please Note:
You MUST sign up for the Standard Plan with Mailchimp to participate in our email marketing program.
Mailchimp charges you on a monthly basis based on how many emails you have. To determine your monthly price based on subscribers, use this tool.
Step 1: Open an Account
Go to Mailchimp.com and select the Standard plan.
Step 2: Username
Create your account by entering your email, username, and password.
We recommend using your email as your username.
Step 3: Verify Your Email
Before you can finish setting up your account, you must verify your email.
If the email is not in your main inbox, please check your spam folder. When you find it, open it and click the blue “Activate Account” button.
The first thing it will prompt you to do is make sure you are not a robot. This is completely normal. Just click “I’m Not a Robot” and follow the prompts.
Step 4: Confirm Your Plan
Mailchimp will ask you to confirm your plan level. Make sure Standard is selected and click “Next.” Fill out all your credit card information and click next.
Step 5: Account Detials
Now you’re going to fill out all of your account details.
Even if you do have contacts you want to upload, at this point, you will select “no” to complete your account setup. You can email your AE the Excel/CSV file of contacts you would like to be uploaded and we will take care of it after we have access.
Great job! Your account is now set up. The next step is granting AVB Marketing access to your account. Please follow the steps below.
PART 2:
Admin Access
Admin Access
In order for AVBM to create campaigns on your behalf, you must grant AVB Marketing Admin access. This allows us to create campaigns and edit your audiences.
Step 1: Go to Your Account
Click on your profile icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. Then click “Account.”
Step 2: Go to Users
Click “Settings” in the top menu, then find “Users.”
Step 3: Invite a User
Click the button that says “Invite a User.”
Enter the email: marketing@avb.net
Select the Admin level, then click “Send Invite.”
You did it! Please let your AE know you have completed this step.
