Insider tips to optimize your time at the show
Leaving your business to attend an industry event is a big commitment. No matter how enticing the event looks, an independent retailer has to weigh its value against the importance of what they do at work. The BrandSource Convention offers members the opportunity to bring great ideas, new programs and even showstopping deals on product home with them.
To make sure you get the most out of the experience, here are five ways to make the most of Convention.
1. Join the MTEQ session
MTEQ, our umbrella term for the entire suite of marketing platforms and programs offered by AVB Marketing, continues to evolve for the benefit of independent retailers. The MTEQ education sessions (1:30 and 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 in the Delta Ballroom) will be a valuable source of updates and information to keep you ahead of the curve on the all-important marketing front.
2. Meet with your AVB marketing rep or visit the AVB Marketing booth
This is where you can find out more about what AVBM has to offer, what’s new and how you can plug into the programs and platforms to suit your unique needs. Don’t pass up an opportunity to find out more about how marketing will improve your bottom line.
3. Use your plug in checklist
Inside your program book at Convention, look for the checklist that highlights specific sessions of greatest interest to furniture and appliance dealers, as well as details on MTEQ education sessions. Check these off as you do them, and you’ll be sure to get the maximum value from your Convention experience.
4. Sign up for quarterly bundles at Stampede
This is key — AVB Marketing packages ad campaigns in strategic ways to save you money and ensure your advertising hits the right people at the right times, scheduled around quarterly holiday and selling seasons. Sign up at Stampede (4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28) and save big.
5. Sign up for the social media-vendor walkabout
Spend some time with social media expert Grace Kuhn at either the Whirlpool or Electrolux booths for exclusive vendor information and guidance on how to create social media content you need to drive traffic to your business. This is an RSVP-only event, however, so click here to get on the list now.
